Description:
Bal d'Afrique Absolu is a more intense reinterpretation of Byredo’s iconic Bal d'Afrique, created to amplify the original fragrance’s contrast between brightness and warmth. Inspired by the same vision of African culture, creativity, and artistic exchange that shaped the original composition, this Absolu version introduces a richer gourmand dimension centred around praline. Bergamot, lemon, and blackcurrant provide a vibrant opening before giving way to a heart of violet, musk, and sweet praline. Cedarwood and vetiver reinforce the fragrance’s woody signature, while black amber adds warmth and depth to the base. The result is a fuller and more textured expression of Bal d'Afrique that preserves its recognisable character while enhancing its richness and complexity.
